This Privacy Policy represents how Venté and its related entities and affiliates (Venté) collects, manages and uses information about you.

Venté is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information obtained through its operations as a real estate agency and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

In addition to this Privacy Policy, we may also have specific and additional privacy provisions that apply to certain activities and promotions. As a general rule, we do not collect sensitive information. Venté may use de-identified information for the purpose of auditing, quality assurance and research on the basis that they are anonymous and unidentifiable. The information is anonymised or de-identified by removing all the personally identifiable information such as your name, date of birth and address. None of your personally identifiable information will ever be used in any reports or publications.

You may withdraw your consent to us processing your de-identified information in the future by contacting us using any of the methods set out at the end of this Privacy Policy. This withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before this withdrawal.

1.6 Who would Venté disclose your personal information to?

We may transfer or disclose your personal information to our related companies. We may disclose personal information to external service provides so that they may perform services for us or on our behalf.

3. DOES VENTÉ DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OVERSEAS?

• Antivirus – market-leading antivirus software is used and is monitored regularly. Backups – backup software is used to store regular incremental backups of critical services.
• Encryption – data is passed through secure servers using the latest Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology.
• Hosting – data is currently hosted on-premises, however we reserve our rights to change hosting locations at any time, including internationally.

These barriers safeguard and secure the information to prevent misuse, interference, loss, or unauthorised access, amendment, or disclosure. You are responsible for ensuring your own data is backed up. Venté is not responsible for any loss or corruption of data whatsoever due to poor practices, user error, or malicious intent.

Venté does not exercise any control over external links to third-party websites, and is not responsible for or liable for the protection and privacy of personal information you provide on these external websites.

5. COOKIES & WEB BEACONS

We may use cookies on our website/software programs from time to time. A cookie is a small text file that the website may place on your device to store information. We may use persistent cookies (which remain on your compute even after you close your browser or software program) Cookies in and of themselves do not provide us with personal information, however if you provide your personal information on our website, we may gather information that is linked to data stored in the cookie. We may also use web beacons from time to time. This will monitor behaviour such as counting user visits or deliver a cookie to the browser of a visitor viewing our website.

8. WILL THIS PRIVACY POLICY CHANGE? 

Due to changing business circumstances or legislative changes, we may need to change our privacy policy from time to time. If we change our privacy policy the changes to the policy will comply with the Privacy Act and we will endeavour to ensure that your overall level of privacy protection is not diminished, and we will publish those changes on our website It is your responsibility to regularly review the Privacy Policy, particularly before providing personal information, to ensure you are aware of any changes.
